Deemed "the most hated man in hockey", Sean Avery has interest off the ice - fashion. It's been reported that the New York Ranger forward has been hired for summer internship at Vogue.

Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour received a letter from Avery stating his interest in interning at Vogue, reports WWD. Wintour, whose reputation in fashion can rival that of Avery's reputation on the ice, hired the 28-year-old player.

Avery's start date at Vogue has yet to be determined depending on how far the Rangers make it in the playoffs, a Vogue spokesperson told WWD. The spokesperson also shed light on his tasks: aside from the usual assistant-like jobs such as fetching coffee and making copies, Avery will also be working with various editors including European editor Hamish Bowles. He may also be making an assist with Men's Vogue.
