Rosemount Australian Fashion Week (RAFW) 2008 - Australia's largest fashion event kicked off Monday at Sydney's Circular Quay making headlines as one of the most colourful, intriguing and futuristic shows presented by the designers down under.

But it also made headlines when Paris-based Sydney model, Stephanie Carta, was pulled from the runway for... well... looking too skinny.

Chic Management, the model's agency, admitted they 'feared for her health' and decided she wasn't going to strut for the Michelle Jank collection scheduled to appear Monday evening.

However, the following day, Carta appeared on the runway for Camilla & Marc.

'We had a chat with Stephanie and, while she is completely healthy, she has agreed to work on her food intake and look after herself,' Chic's Kathy Ward told The Daily Telegraph.

The runway diva recently returned from France after spending six months working for Paris houses including Balenciaga

'She was overloaded with work, working seven days a week,' Ward said.

RAFW boss Simon Lock said the situation was handled well.

'We've worked with all the agencies and designers to reinforce the message that we do not want to promote the image of ultra-thin girls and I think the industry has responded well,' he said.
