After Monday's opening remarks before the Mango show Monday night, Fashion Week organizer and Fashion Designer Council of Canada President Robin Kay has been flanked by the media over her drunken speech.

She was asked to welcome sponsors and guests but instead went on an incoherent ramble that left guests uncomfortable in their seat; some even left.

This morning, Kay has apologized for her behaviour saying: "I was exhausted and I didn't realize what was happening to me," reports The Star.

As for the Mango presentation which followed, "I can only hope that the clothes will speak for themselves and that my two minutes will be ignored," said Kay in an interview, stressing that she apologized to her staff the next morning. "It was all pretty freaky for me, too. It was horrible. I guess I'm not Iron Woman."
