Designer Tom Ford left the fashion world, though keeping a foot firmly planted on its soil, to pursue life in films. Ford is now getting his cast together for his long-awaited directorial debut for A Single Man, an adaptation of the Christopher Isherwood novel.
And already the cast is looking impressive with Colin Firth set to play the lead, a gay man who is coping with the sudden death of his lover. The story in the novel takes place in the span of a single day. Starring alongside Firth is multiple Oscar-nominated Julianne Moore and Matthew Goode as the ill-fated lover. Though Ford has made his mark on the red carpet, dressing some of the most glamorous actors and actresses at the most glamorous Hollywood events, he is also responsible for the slick attire Daniel Craig as James Bond wears in the upcoming film Quantum of Solace. |
