Gucci never passes up an opportunity to support UNICEF as evident with last New York Fashion Week's Gucci Gala. Tonight the lighting of the UNICEF Snowflake at Grand Army Plaza in New York will launch this year's Gucci's campaign which will run from November 19 to January 31.
Joining Gucci creative director Frida Giannini for the festivities is Grammy award-winning singer Rihanna. President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Caryl Stern tells Vogue UK, "We are thrilled to have Frida Giannini and Rihanna take part in the lighting ceremony in New York City. They share tremendous enthusiasm for helping those in need and for spreading the Snowflake's message of hope, peace, and compassion for children around the world." Giannini and Rihanna will host a cocktail party following the lighting at Gucci's 5th Avenue flagship store to celebrate the launch of the white Heart Tattoo Collection - a series of accessories with 25% of the proceeds going to UNICEF. |
