Last night saw the Oscars of the fashion world honour the best and brightest in the biz at the Council of Fashion Designers of America in New York.
The coveted Womenswear Designer of the Year went to Kate and Laura Mulleavy for Rodarte beating fashion vets Marc Jacobs and Narciso Rodriguez. Jacobs also lost out to Proenza Schouler in the Accessories category but made Louis Vuitton proud but going home with the International Award. Other winners include Band of Outsiders and Calvin Klein who tied for best Menswear Designer of the Year, Jason Wu who not-so surprisingly won for Emerging talent thanks to his profilic year dressing the First Lady and Anna Sui was honoured with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award.
