Roger Vivier, Christian Louboutin, Giuseppe Zanotti, Pierre Hardy. Brian Atwood?
The most beloved cobblers in fashion have women melting for their uncanny ability to create the perfect shoe. And the roster is growing still. Among them is Milan-based, Chicago-raised, FIT graduate and former Gucci-ier Brian Atwood (that's quite a mouthful). With a love of incorporating fashion and architecture, what Atwood brings is to the table is a vibrant palette of rich hues, suede, patent leather and lots of studs constructed in whimsical, super sexy designs. And he's been rising steadily on the international circuit and sought after by A-listers including Gwyneth Paltrow is, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Alba, so when his eponymous line debuted exclusively at The Bay's St. Regis Room, Canadian women everywhere went manic. Atwood, who also designs for Switzerland lux-brand Bally, has a je ne sais quoi. Tall and with a face framed by a cascade of dark shaggy hair and brightest blue eyes, he's almost as gorgeous as his creations. Considering he used to be a professional model (smart with looks), being surrounded by beauty, naturally, contributes to his flair for pretty feet. But we're pretty sure women don't only swarm over his impressive collection of footwear.
