The floors of Holt Renfrew were abuzz with the arrival of three time CFDA award winner Alexander Wang. The young designer made an appearance at the Toronto store to meet fans, pose for pictures and sign autographs. This open-to-the-public event was packed with the city's fashionistas and people who wanted a first hand look at the designer's line. Racks of his collection framed the area in which he sat and purses, shoes and eyewear were laid out for everyone to see. Among the many racks of clothing and tables of accessories, there was a black tent used for viewing a film of the designer's latest runway show.
The doors for the event opened at noon and people were still pouring in to stand in line to meet the designer when the doors closed at 1:30. A special, one-day-only promotion was offered; the purchase of any Alexander Wang products totalling $500 would result in a free T by Alexander Wang t-shirt. Even though the line-up to meet him was long and winding, Wang greeted each person with an introduction and a handshake. Even though the event was short and the line was long, it was certainly worth everyone's time. More Photos:
