Day One: Boutique Le Trou

I found myself in a constant struggle over one thing or another today. Not planning on going to any of the shows tonight (none were highlighted in the schedule handed to me the day prior), I found myself rushing to get things prepped up on this little ol' web site: preview video, Special Features page, what have you. Then it also dawned on me (at the expense of getting all stereotypically girly on you), I wasn't too pleased with my garb of choice for the day.

I am, however, in love with my patent leather hot pink shoes (I shall call them Betty Ann).

So, Betty Ann needed a new top to be her date so a speed-shopping I went which was a war unto itself. But I prevailed and went off to the venue where I did not hesitate to hop on a computer to tidy up something on our site... with a smile on my face:

We were shown the media lounge, backstage and the delicious gift bag pick-up table by fellow FT'er Christian. We even witnessed a rehearsal where it takes more than a piece of tape on the runway to tell the models where to stand - it requires the designer running after said model, bringing her back and pointing at the piece of tape. It was here however where I saw the beginning of my real war of the evening: former Canada's Next Top Model contestant, Sisi.

That delightful girl there is Stephanie - a volunteer and avid fan of Fashion Week, who works for L'Oreal - she is bringing sexy back to my eyes!

For the record, I knew where to stop. Thank you piece of tape on the runway! Thank you!

All in all, there was more love than war that night. Just ask Christian:

Oh, as for the show? I won't bore you about it here. Check out the gallery!
