From June 17 to 20, the Montréal Fashion and Design Festival (MFDF) staged its most spectacular fashion shows and musical performances on outdoor runways, creating, at the very heart of downtown Montreal's prestigious McGill College Avenue, a huge open-air urban lounge.
Fashion, design and music - the trendiest trio of the hour - joined forces, under open skies, for four days of contagious frenzy, serving up the best in fashion from here at home along with the music of a number of local and international artists. This year, the MFDF welcomed 150 designers and 50 major labels, brought together in original concepts. With its outstanding program, the MFDF served up the richest musical content ever, with performances by the likes of K-OS, Beast Sound System, The National Parcs, Omnikrom and Fritz Helder & The Phantoms. Throughout this 4-day event, festivalgoers jammed to the sounds of DJs from here and elsewhere, thanks to the new Fashion Musique concept presented by Heineken Music in collaboration with Nightlife Magazine, and showcasing artists fusing fashion, design and music into an innovative whole.
