The Style of Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga's got a knack for delivering unforgettable performances that has people talking long after they're over. She strives to be garish and glitzy, never easing on her fashion savvy approach to music. We take note of her scheduled television appearances; we anticipate her gutsy antics. When she comes out on stage shimmying in bold questionable attire it's bound to turn heads. She's unpredictable, she's unafraid to be daring, and she doesn't care what anyone thinks of her.

She brings the runway everywhere with her - whether it's ready-to-wear or not. And unlike her contemporaries who are caught dressed down when spotted on the streets, Gaga constantly looks like she's traipsed straight out of the catwalk.

Her recent performance at the American Music Awards was reminiscent of Alexander McQueen's craziest runways, a stylish mix of absurdity and boldness.  She belted out in a skin-tight beige body suit embroidered with thick, white, bone-like bands of fabric. The piano on stage was smoldering in intense fire with every note she played. That skeletal band aid getup, however, still doesn't come close to some of her other fashion choices.

Earlier this month she arrived at the 13th Annual Ace Awards looking like a deranged pin up with her face partially concealed beneath a black netted mask. She pedaled past the boundaries in the vividly red, see-through mesh dress she wore at the MTV Awards that covered her face and hands. It will also be a long time before we forget the sight of bright (but fake) blood soaking through her clothes during her Paparazzi performance that same night. She puts on a theatrically fashionable show along the likes of John Galliano.

There's no doubt Gaga's quickly made her mark in the industry with her music and her style. We can only imagine what madness this chanteuse has to offer in the near future.
