As part of Montreal Fashion Week, Telio Textiles sponsored a student design competition. I was asked to be one of five judges (along with Nathalie Atkinson of the National Post and Stephane Leduc of Dressed to Kill magazine, both seen in JPG 1698). 25 finalists were chosen from 125 fashion design students from Vancouver to Halifax who sent initial sketches of their outfits, based on a theme...the four elements - water, air, fire and earth. All 25 finalists presented their creations on the catwalk in a well-attended show.

The $3500 first prize winner was Ruyi Zhou of College LaSalle.
