Canada’s top female fashion photographers are showcasing their latest work to the public next month at a special gathering during LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oréal Paris FW’10.

WOMEN x WOMEN (“women by women”) 2010 will present over 100 new photographs by celebrated photographers such as Maude Arsenault (Flare, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue), Malina Corpadean (ELLE Canada, Fashion, Nylon) and Arline Malakian (ELLE, Fashion, Ocean Drive) featuring top Canadian models.

The exhibit photographs will be shown in a multi-media presentation alongside short, behind- the-scenes films of the photo shoots in the making, made by The ARC Institute. Film previews were released this morning at www.youtube.com/theadvocatesto. Media are invited to embed the videos in their online coverage.

“Going into our second year, we thought that film and social media would be the perfect way to share the vision of our photographers with a broader audience,” said event Co-Founder Alice Keith. “The films are intended to inspire young women to get behind the lens and create the “WOMEN x WOMEN is a movement that engages talent, industry professionals and followers alike, and brings awareness to the unique perspective of female fashion photographers,” said event Co-Founder Angela Young. “We would like to give a special thank you to Vistek for their generous support of the WOMEN x WOMEN photographers, and to all our sponsors who helped to make WOMEN x WOMEN possible this year.”
