Italian designer Gianfranco Ferre - also known as "the architect of fashion" - passed away suddenly of a brain hemorrhage this past June, sending shockwaves through the fashion world. Rather than hiring a high profile designer to immediately take over, the house of Ferre decided to let a team of former assistants design the latest collection. Unfortunately, the show not only ran late, but received poor reviews.

Ronaldo Fraga is one of Brazil's most conceptual, politically-minded designers who is well-known for his quirky runway shows, and this season, he didn't disappoint. Fraga used the controversial phrase, "Made in China" as inspiration for his fall collection and even got the front row to be part of the spectacle.
