Italian designer Gianfranco Ferre - also known as "the architect of fashion" - passed away suddenly of a brain hemorrhage this past June, sending shockwaves through the fashion world. Rather than hiring a high profile designer to immediately take over, the house of Ferre decided to let a team of former assistants design the latest collection. Unfortunately, the show not only ran late, but received poor reviews.

Ronaldo Fraga is one of Brazil's most conceptual, politically-minded designers who is well-known for his quirky runway shows, and this season, he didn't disappoint.
