The 2026 Met Gala, scheduled for May 5, will celebrate fashion through the lens of Black dandyism, with its theme inspired by the Met's Costume Institute spring exhibition 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.' The exhibition, the first focused on menswear since 2003, examines 300 years of Black style and dandyism as cultural critique and expression, thanks to guest curator Monica L. Miller. This year’s event is co-chaired by Anna Wintour, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and Pharrell Williams, with LeBron James as honorary chair. A host committee including queer favorites such as Doechii, Janelle Monáe, Jeremy Pope, and Sha’Carri Richardson underscores the event’s LGBTQ+ prominence. While the full guest list remains secret, queer icons like Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Queen Latifah, Dan Levy, and Cara Delevingne are expected. Stylist Law Roach will team up with Burberry for the event. Audiences can watch the Met Gala livestream on Vogue’s platforms and Them starting at 6 p.m. EST, with additional coverage from E! at the same time. The red carpet begins at 4:30 p.m. EST.
